Nathalie Masset nasce a Parigi e attualmente vive a Ginevra.
Dal 2002 fa esperienza nella lavorazione dei metalli presso l’Atelier Renard, Locksmiths in Saint Germain en Laye, Francia. L’artista ama il metallo, il suo odore, il rumore che fa quando lo lavora.
Ama le difficoltà e la pazienza che la lavorazione del metallo richiede. Ciascuna opera dell’artista è progettata in modo diverso. L’artista può partire da un disegno o da un modello in carta/cartone, oppure assemblare direttamente parti diverse di metallo.

Nathalie Masset is born in Paris and lives in Ginevra.
She has been training with metal working since 2002 at the Atelier Renard, Locksmiths in Saint Germain en Laye, France. She likes metal. Its different aspects, the way it feels, its smell, the sound it makes when she is working it. She likes the difficulties and the patience it requires for working it.
Each of her sculptures is planned differently. She can start from a drawing or from a paper/cardboard model, or by directly assembling metal parts.
