Today, the virtual reality of Google and social media replaces the analogue one. It is no longer possible to imagine independent communication.
\nWith the advent of social media time\u00a0to communicate becomes increasingly shorter, often conveyed by news and images created\u00a0to capture attention and elicit immediate responses.
\nSocial users interact with emoji, likes,\u00a0icons and instead of expressing content, thoughts are the result
\nof impulses, emotions aroused and in some cases intentionally provoked.
\nThrough the smartphone we record information without knowing and experiencing reality, detaching ourselves from the surrounding. Street Chatters installation makes visitors reflect on\u00a0the emotional and sometimes misleading impact that social media have on users, while at the same time highlights the duplicity of contemporary reality based on
\ntwo dimensions, the\u00a0analogue and the virtual one, in which people and objects take on new meanings.<\/p>\n

Street Chatters is planned to be a travelling exhibition in which collecting visitors feedback for creating a community that aims to stimolate a more conscious approach to the virtual world.

Oggi la realt\u00e0 virtuale di Google e dei social media si sostituisce a quella analogica. Non \u00e8 pi\u00f9 possibile immaginare una comunicazione indipendente. Con l\u2019avvento dei social,\u00a0il tempo per comunicare diventa sempre pi\u00f9 breve, spesso veicolato da notizie e immagini create per catturare l\u2019attenzione e suscitare risposte immediate. Gli utilizzatori dei social interagiscono con emoji, like, icone\u00a0e invece di esprimere dei contenuti, delle riflessioni sono frutto
\ndi impulsi, emozioni suscitate e in alcuni casi provocate intenzionalmente.
\nRegistriamo le informazioni senza conoscere e sperimentare\u00a0la realt\u00e0 attraverso lo smartphone, distaccandocene. L\u2019installazione Street Chatters vuole far riflettere i visitatori sull\u2019impatto emotivo e a volte fuorviante che i social media hanno sugli user, e allo stesso tempo pone in evidenza la duplicit\u00e0 della realt\u00e0 contemporanea\u00a0che poggia su due dimensioni, quella analogica e quella virtuale nella quale\u00a0le persone e gli oggetti assumono nuovi significati.<\/p>\n

Street Chatters vuole essere una mostra itinerante che raccoglie i feedback dei visitatori e costruire una community che ha l\u2019obiettivo di creare un\u2019approccio pi\u00f9 consapevole al mondo virtuale.<\/p>\n

Street Chatters is a dynamic exhibition format that explores the blurred lines between the virtual and the physical realities. Through collaborations with artists, it creates interactive experiences both online and on site, prompting visitors to reflect on their relationship with media and how they consume information. How confident are we that we\u2019re well-informed, objective voices in the conversation? And how sure are we that we\u2019re not easily influenced? The luxury of time to think is fading.
