Precious Cargo, Precious World

Art exhibition onboard the AVONTUUR, a sailing cargo ship!
Trapani, Sicily: November 2020 – ongoing

The immediacy of the effects of weather changes, humankind’s degradation of the forests and oceans, and the intimacy of the effects on us, is stunning. And reason for us all to conserve.

Estimates for conventional cargo ships’ CO₂ emissions per year equal those of Germany. In response to this crisis, Captain Cornelius Bockermann will sail our precious art cargo from Germany for exhibitions in Sicily.

The exhibition aboard presents the work of a group of artists and scientists dedicated to ecosystem regeneration and limiting carbon footprint.
This project, produced by euroinnovators, is created and curated by mp Warming. Exhibition partners are Timbercoast Shipping and Art Science Exhibits Berlin.
The exhibition features multimedia works by following artists and scientists:

Louise Beer, New Zealand/UK

Dave Biddle and David Ehrenreich, Canada

Adam Crosson, USA

Brent Dedas, USA

Frederic Durieu & Nathalie Erin, France
