Una esposizione non è soltanto un esercizio estetico fine a sè stesso, bensì serve a stimolare consapevolezza…
L’esposizione dell’artista viennese Hannah Stippl, che è stata appena inaugurata al JW Marriot di Venezia è un progetto espositivo che va oltre l’esposizione. Nella sua fase di progettazione, sia io che l’artista abbiamo sentito il bisogno di creare una piattaforma che fosse in grado di fare interagire l’artista con l’osservatore. Abbiamo cercato uno strumento che permettesse all’artista di interfacciarsi con l’osservatore e così facendo costruire un progetto nel progetto. Avvicinare il pubblico all’artista, farlo interagire con l’artista vuol dire intraprendere un percorso di reciproca coscienza, dove l’artista racconta, ascolta e accoglie l’osservatore che non è più solamente osservatore passivo ma diventa interprete della sua ricerca verso la conoscenza. E così l’esposizione “There is no cure for the condition of belonging to the world.” dell’artista Hannah Stippl è anche piattaforma interattiva in cui artista e visitatore condividono e apprendono l’uno dall’altro.

The exhibition of the Viennese artist Hannah Stippl, which has just opened at the JW Marriot in Venice, is a project that goes beyond the exhibition. In its planning phase, both the artist and I felt the need to develop the relationship between the artist and the viewers. We looked for a tool that would allow the artist to interface with the viewers and thus build a project within the project. Bringing the viewers closer to the artist, making them interact with the artist means embarking on a path of mutual awareness, where the artist narrates, listens and welcomes the viewer, who is no longer just a passive observer but becomes the interpreter of his/her quest for knowledge. And so the exhibition “There is no cure for the condition of belonging to the world.” by artist Hannah Stippl is also an interactive platform where artist and viewers share and learn from each other.
The exhibition is visitable at the JW Marriot Resort on the Isola delle Rose in Venice until 20 October 2021.
