La mostra realizzata dal JW Marriott in collaborazione con Michela Codutti – euroinnovators nell’ambito dell’evento “Il Segno dell’Acqua” si tiene sull’Isola delle Rose, Laguna di Venezia, durante la Biennale d’Arte 2022, a partire dal 10 aprile e per tutta la durata della Biennale.

Le opere esposte sono state realizzate da artisti provenienti da Venezia, Palermo e Torino e sono accomunate dal tema dell’acqua. L’acqua è fonte di vita, d’ispirazione, è il segno del tempo capace di offrire alla bellezza il suo doppio nello scenario perfetto e rarefatto di un gigantesco specchio liquido come quello su cui sorge la laguna di Venezia.
Le opere esposte sono generate dalla volontà di guardare le proprie e altrui emozioni, e pur essendo estremamente diverse tra loro, sono accomunate da “…un intimo nesso- estetico e morale” che si instaura tra l’artista, ciò che guarda, il luogo in cui vive, ciò che lo caratterizza. Si viene così a creare un discorso espositivo coinvolgente e poetico composto da mappe delle città, installazioni in realtà aumentata, interpretazioni fotografiche, dettagli di imbarcazioni e prospettive sul mare. Verranno esposte opere dei seguenti artisti:
RE-FLOORING Augmented Reality site specific installation, Isola delle Rose Church.
L’installazione viene presentata all’interno della chiesta sconsacrata dell’Isola delle Rose, localizzata nella Laguna di Venezia e attualmente sede del JW Marriott Resort, e sarà visibile durante il periodo della 59° Biennale d’Arte di Venezia.
L’opera è costituita da nove pannelli in PVC – otto 1×1 mt, uno 2×2 mt – appesi alle pareti della Chiesa.
Le differenti immagini stampate sui pannelli corrispondono alle sequenze iniziali delle rispettive video animazioni di massimo 24 immagini ciascuna che ricomposte riproducono una parte del pavimento della Basilica di San Marco.

Il rumore dell’acqua della Laguna, registrato dall’artista accompagna ritmicamente la ricomposizione delle figure geometriche originali del pavimento, inizialmente frammentate.
Il visitatore può scaricare la ArtiVive app e inquadrando i pannelli con lo smart phone li “trasforma” attraverso la Realtà Aumentata in monitor che trasmettono un video con i relativi suoni.

Frank&Frank – Torino
Il progetto di Marcella Molinini e Roberto De Gregorio (F&F) narra l’emozione della visione del mondo attraverso la bellezza della cartografia con la creazione di mappe delle città su pelle conciata al vegetale.
L’installazione, in occasione della Biennale Arte 2022, è ispirata a “Il Segno dell’acqua” titolo del libro di Iosif Brodskij (premio Nobel per la letteratura 1987) conosciuto nella versione italiana come “Fondamenta degli incurabili” e dedicato a Venezia. >>> opere esposte
Raffaele Rinaldi é fotografo di ritratto creativo, definito dai critici un maestro del surrealismo e della fotografia concettuale. Si tratta di fotografia concettuale applicata al ritratto, che parte da riflessioni ambientali e percorsi narrativi personali.
Al JW Marriott vengono esposti lavori dei progetti “Sweet Beauty” e “Animal Beauty”; composizioni fotografiche realizzate dall’artista attraverso accostamenti non convenzionali.
Le opere dei progetti esposti sono piene di elementi che “perdono” la loro identità e cambiano significato.
L’artista accosta alla donna, modella delle sue foto, un frutto o altri oggetti che generalmente si trovano in altri contesti cambiandone di volta in volta il significato, e “trasformandoli” in qualcosa d’altro rispetto alla loro naturale funzione. L’esposizione delle opere di Raffaele Rinaldi è stata realizzata in collaborazione con LABA, Libera Accademia delle Belle Arti di Firenze. >>> opere
Gianfranco Munerotto – Venezia
È restauratore e illustratore, oltre ad essere noto per i suoi libri molto accurati sulle barche.
L’artista che coniuga la professione di illustratore alla passione per la marineria veneta, da vent’anni si impegna nello studio delle imbarcazioni tradizionali e punta a realizzare delle ricostruzioni attendibili, ambientate in un contesto realistico e suggestivo.
Al JW Marriott vengono esposti dipinti ad olio che rappresentano dettagli di imbarcazioni veneziane fluttuanti nella laguna di Venezia e visioni del mare.

È una professionista delle arti visive la cui ricerca pittorica si esprime attraverso diverse discipline, come il dipinto su tela, l’illustrazione per l’editoria e il dipinto murale. Al JW Marriott sono esposti cinque quadri realizzati con la tecnica dell’olio su tela che si caratterizzano per la fluidità e marcatura del tratto e la forza espressiva della rappresentazione figurativa. Il richiamo all’acqua è duplice: attraverso la rappresentazione di paesaggi acquatici e attraverso il tratto pittorico dell’artista. >>> opere
Camille Truyffaut – Bruxelles, Belgio
Camille Truyffaut esplora i confini della percezione; come la luce influenza il colore, la trama, la superficie di qualsiasi supporto ed entra in relazione con essi. Attraverso la trasparenza delle sue installazioni stratificate, appare una sottile foschia colorata. La simbiosi tra tessuto e ceramica o le sue incisioni stampate su veli trasparenti rivelano ombre vive. Un fragile equilibrio tra svelare e nascondere, un momento di passaggio da un colore all’altro, da una forma all’altra. Il suo lavoro riguarda l’immateriale, una presenza effimera che apre uno spazio alla contemplazione. >>> opere

The exhibition organised by the JW Marriott in collaboration with Michela Codutti – euroinnovators as part of the event “Il Segno dell’Acqua” will be held on the Isola delle Rose, Laguna di Venezia, during the 2022 Art Biennale, starting from 10 April and lasting for the period of the Biennale.

The artworks created by artists from Venice, Palermo and Turin are all inspired by the theme of water. Water is a fount of life, of inspiration, is the sign of time offering beauty its double in the perfect and rarefied scenario of a huge liquid mirror like the one on which the Venice lagoon rises.
The exhibited artworks generate by the desire to look at one’s own and other people’s emotions, and although they are extremely different from each other, they are connected by “…an intimate aesthetic and moral nexus” that is established between the artist, what he/she looks at, the place where he/she lives and what characterises him/her way to be. This creates an engaging and poetic exhibition discourse made of city maps, augmented reality installations, photographic interpretations, details of boats and perspectives on the sea. RE-FLOORING Augmented Reality site specific installation, Isola delle Rose Church.
The art installation is exhibited inside the Isola delle Rose church, located in the Lagoon of Venice and currently home to the JW Marriott Resort, and is visitable during the period of the 59th Venice Art Biennale.
The artwork consists of nine PVC panels – eight 1×1 m, one 2×2 m – hanging on the walls of the church.
The different images printed on the panels correspond to the initial sequences of the respective video animations of a maximum of 24 images each, which when recomposed reproduce part of the floor of St Mark’s Basilica.

The sound of the water of the Lagoon, recorded by the artist, rhythmically accompanies the recomposition of the original geometric figures of the floor os San Marco Church, initially fragmented.
Visitors can download the ArtiVive app and by framing the panels with their smart phone they “transform” them through Augmented Reality into monitors that transmit a video with the corresponding sounds.

Raffaele Rinaldi is a creative portrait photographer, defined by critics as a master of surrealism and conceptual photography. His conceptual photography applied to portraits, starts from environmental reflections and personal narrative.
At the JW Marriott are exhibited artworks from the “Sweet Beauty” and “Animal Beauty” projects ; photographic compositions created by the artist through unconventional juxtapositions.
The exhibited artworks are full of elements that while “losing” their identity change meaning.
The artist juxtaposes the model in his photos with a fruit or other objects that are usually found in other contexts, changing each time their meaning and “transforming” them into something other than their natural function.

Is a restaurateur and illustrator, well known for his very accurate books on boats.
The artist, who combines his profession as illustrator with a passion for Venetian vessels, has been studying traditional boats for twenty years and aims to create reliable reconstructions set in realistic and evocative contexts.
At the JW Marriott the artist exhibits oil paintings depicting details of Venetian boats floating in the Venetian lagoon and evocative visions of the sea.

Is a visual artist working with different technics: painting on canvas, editorial illustration and wall paintings.
In JW Marriott exhibition the artist presents five paintings, oil on canvas characterised by the strength and fluidity of brashstrokes and emotional intensity of figurative features. Her artworks recall water both through the representation of water landscapes and the artist’s pictorical tract that characterises her working technique.

Camille Truyffaut – Brusselles, Belgium
Camille Truyffaut explores the boundaries of perception, how light affects the color, the texture, the surface of any support and enters in relation with them.Through the transparency of her layered installations, appears a subtle colored haze. The symbiosis between textile and ceramic or her etchings printed on transparent veils reveal some living shadows. A fragile equilibrium between revealing and concealing, a moment of transition from a color to another, from a shape to another. Her work is about the non-tangible, an ephemeral presence that opens a space for contemplation. >>> artworks
The exhibition takes place in some areas of the lobby of the >>> JW Marriott hotel resort and in the structure of the church that is part of the hotel complex, can be seen every day with free admission at the Isola delle Rose and can be reached by the hotel shuttle, leaving every half hour from the dock of the Giardini Reali di Venezia – San Marco.
